Coding :(

Vicky brought me the domain yesterday! She also sorted out the hosting and stuff and I am starting to sort everything out. I’ve started working on everything but I’ve forgotten how bloody annoying coding is. I’m trying some new stuff, like using containers and stuff but grr… I hate CSS! I also want my coding to be valid so thats making it about 1000 times more difficault.

But anyway, I am working hard on getting the domain up asap. I’ve got half term this week so I’m hoping to get it done this week. I’ll let you know how things are going.

Anyway, I did my english talk today! I got a B+ which I’m happy with. I was so scared, but it went well and I’m really happy with how it went.

Oh and if anyone I KNOW (affiliate, internet friend) needs hosting, let me know!

Films

There are so many films at the moment I want to see. Most of them are old ones. Recently, I’ve become obsessed with Meryl Streep so I really wanna buy Kramer vs Kramer and Sophie’s Choice.

I also cannot WAIT for the new Bond film to come out. I LOVE James Bond, even though none of my friends like it. I’m taking my little brother to see it in half term. All my friends want to go see the new High School Musical but I’m not planning to waist 2.5 hours of my life and £7 of my money on THAT film.

I’m doing films in my media class right now, I hope we’re doing a good film. I think we have to watch 2 films then compare them in an essay. I really hope there films I like, I hate watching bad films haha.

Seeing as I’m in a film-watching-mood at the moment (when am I not?) does anyone have any recommendations for good films? Let me know

English Talk

Tomorrow I have to do an talk to the class for my coursework and I’m so scared!! I really hate doing talks to the class. I’ve always hated it. I’ve always had confidence issues. I’ve done talks to the class before, and they always turn out okay but I still really hate them. Does anyone have any advice on how to make them easier?

Alrightt I wanted to talk about reviews today. Most of you probably know about the swimchick vs outspoken kate thingy. I don’t really know what I think of it. I mean, I would HATE to get a review like jessica gave kate, but it was only critising her site, not HER. I don’t know, I’d still be upset. I don’t mind there being urequested reviews, but do they have to be so…bitchy?

I don’t know, I’ve acctually been testing my review skills by reviewing sites like vejc-design and swimchick. I dout i’ll ever post them though, I’m too scared! I might show them to a few people, if they ask nicely.

I don’t know, what do you think of the whole thing?

Drunk

I just had to blog about this and get it out of my system. I won’t use any real names for privacy reasons.

Last Saturday, one of my closest friends and her friend went into town to a place where people go genrally to get off there head drunk. I didn’t go because although do sometimes drink, I am not stupid enough to drink in a public place where a lot of tramps and strange old men hang out.

Anyway, they went and my friend decided not to drink because she wanted to look after her friend who was completly off her head. When I say off her head, I mean she had drunk A LOT. More than most people can handle. By 5pm she was already falling over.

She then said to my friend “Look, lighten up or go home”. My friend said she wasn’t going to leave her like she was but her friend insisted that she went home so she did.

The girl then got raped by two guys.

My friend blaims herself for leaving her, but I totally disagree. It was partly her fault for getting SO drunk and partly the guys fault for…well…raping her.

This girl was my age. I couldn’t belive this when I heard. Plus this place is like near where I live…

Questions

Heyy guys! Well the new site should be coming soon, but I was just gonna ask you a couple of questions so I can decide what kinda content etc I should have on there. That way I can open the site asap.

• Should I offer reviews? Should they be requested or unrequested?
• Should I have celebrity layouts/graphics/etc?
• Any ideas for other content? (brushes, textures, that sorta thing).

When You’re on the Internet

Thing’s I like to do when I’m on the internet:

• Check my facebook/bebo/myspace, see what my friends are up to and try to upload photos on my stupidly slow internet.
• “Blog hop”. Go on a blog, read some of the posts and click on a link from the comments/other links to another blog.
• Go on www.perezhilton.com to get some celebrity gossip. STOP JUDGING ME!
• Check my youtube subscriptions to see if anyones made any new videos.
• Blog.

What do you do when you’re on the internet?

Day of Rest (hehe)

I’m so tired!!! I can’t belive that just 5 days of school can wear me out this much!

I haven’t had a “day of rest” (hahahhaha) in ages. Probably because I have so much coursework etc to be getting on with and I do like to go into town on my weekends. Anyway, tomorow I am not going to do anything. I can’t wait!

Plus the amount of bad teachers I’m getting is hugee! My friend almost left maths crying today because she got an “E” on her exam because her teacher can’t control her class. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Anyway, enough of my dreadful school life. Tonight my friend is playing a gig at a local pub so I’m going to listen to her play. She’s really good. It’s just her and her guitar but I like that kind of acoustic music.

Tomorow is my day-of-rest and sunday I’m going to be catching up on the homework/coursework I was supposed to do on saturday. Great.

Piano-Girl

The domains nearly sorted. Vicky’s sorted out some hosting for me so once she can buy the domain I should be on my way.

My domain will be called www.piano-girl.co.uk. This is because I wanted the name to be more personal to me and because I love the piano, I decided on piano-girl. The site will be hosted by RigRag. If Vicky can buy the domain tomorrow, it should be ready for opening some time next week, providing I’m not to busy. Yay!!
